OAT MILK

Updated: Feb 24, 2022

Make your own oat milk to avoid unnecessary preservatives and excess packaging. Add to smoothies, granola, matcha lattes, golden milk or chai lattes for a dairy-free milk alternative.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup non-GMO oats + 2 c cold soaking water

  • 2 Medjool dates, pitted

  • 3 1/2 cup cold water

  • 1/4 tsp Himalayan pink salt

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Soak oats and dates for 15 minutes.

  2. Strain the oats and dates with a fine mesh strainer, discard water. Rinse one more time until water is clear.

  3. Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender. Blend quickly until smooth, about 1-2 minutes.

  4. Pour into a nut milk bag and squeeze gently. You can also pour into a fine mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth - strain twice.

  5. Store in an airtight jar for a 3-4 days. Enjoy!
