Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup unsweetened oat milk
1 cup filtered water
1 medium apple, cored and diced (leave skin on if organic)
¼ cup raisins
1 tsp cinnamon
1 pinch ground cloves*
1 pinch ground nutmeg*
1 pinch ground cardamom*
2 Tbsp flaxseed meal
FOR SERVING, OPTIONAL
Unsweetened non-dairy milk
Handful of raw nuts or seeds
Method:
To a small saucepan, add oats, oat milk, water, apple, raisins and spices (do not add flaxseeds yet). Stir until combined. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 5-6 minutes or until oats are chewy.
Stir in flaxseed meal.
Serve with additional milk and nuts/seeds if desired. Enjoy warm or cold.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
NOTE: A pinch is equal to 1/16 teaspoon measurement.
